Amorevore is guided by four principle themes – Routes to Roots, Regenerative Solutions, Optimal Being and Seeding and Cultivating. Top speakers and practitioners will explore a multitude of juicy food topics related to these themes in the Amorevore Symposium.

In Routes to Roots, we will look at culinary anthropology, conflict resolution, women in food, how food has shaped culture, food traditions, seed heritage and social entrepreneurism. Through Regenerative Solutions we will explore agricultural models, biodiversity, food waste, feeding the future, activism, macroeconomics, blockchains, climate change and learn from success stories.

Under the theme of Optimal Be-ing, knowledge about healthy eating and being will be shared, as well as debate about the global health issues facing the planet and the dark side of the health industry.

Seeding and Cultivating is about practical, action based education to get our hands dirty and learn how to live from the land – more information on this in our Workshops section.

International experts joining us at Amorevore include Graham HancockGill MellerTristram StuartZoe AdjonyohPatrick HolfordHelena Norberg-Hodge and Valentine Warner.

Join me at the Castle Meadows on an exciting wild cooking adventure. Leaving from Castle Street car park at 12:45, you will be taken off into the surrounding countryside for a foraging walk and campsite cookout.

As you walk, you’ll be guided through foraging for different plants and how to find the best wild food ingredients for your dinner. Joined by local forager Liz Knight, you will explore the edible landscape around you and how best to put it to good use.

Arriving at a secret festival campsite, I will show you the best set up for your outdoor kitchen, how to build a fire, and the different ways to cook up your finds into a delicious outdoor dinner. Guests will get involved with helping to whip up the feast, before sharing the meal you have foraged, found and made together around the campfire.
